Todrick Hall

Yes, we were singing.

Why were we singing? Oh, Todrick Hall.

Yes.

I got there.

Todrick Hall.

Lord.

He's going to be fighting for a spot on that cast.

Yeah, exactly.

Cody, what do you think if people were Todrick Hall in one of his rants?

Oh, my goodness.

That is very charged right there.

And are we going to see that show at midnight or not? After we go see the

show.

Jeremy, it's a show that's out with Todrick Hall.

He wrote all of it.

This could have just been an OnlyFans for him.

And I want Todrick Hall to understand that there's no shame in him just doing an OnlyFans and doing his love of slave play over there and making money, like doing a whole off-Broadway production of it, numerous triggering things within it.

And then also he apparently wrote this like, in the last five years.

So from George Floyd, he got together and he was like, you know what? You know what we need? We need a play about a slave falling in love with a white man, his master.

He's just weird.

He's just such a weirdo.

Where is he from? Where's Todrick Hall from? That's a great question.

Where do you think he's from?

Welcome back, everybody.

You know, I wanted to talk about this show called Midnight that's off-Broadway by Todrick Hall.

And I said, I think publicly we should have a discussion about about um midnight

i i just wanted to i've just been inciting emotion to see people's reactions so as you say that it's actually me and my home girl with we're messaging me a little

man or, or, or that production and, and what pisses me off.

Right.

So before I knew anything about it, I, um, happened to, I subscribed to play bill on YouTube, you know, as a, practicing homosexual i have to right so um one of the songs came out and it was with one of the um young ladies from american idol a couple of seasons ago like this black woman she stings so beautifully like like butter right um and she's singing this beautiful song and we both realized like this is a todrick hall number like okay i didn't know he had a play So I'm just singing.

I'm listening to the song.

Yeah.

well you're also a fan of musicals i am this uh little story today kind of has a lot of overlap so it talks about tiktok it talks about musicals and it talks about the queers so oh my god uh what i wanted to talk i don't know have you seen but have you heard about todrick's hall news show midnight no okay very interesting So basically, just to give you an introduction for those who don't know who Todrick Hall is, he is a singer, choreographer, YouTube star, Broadway performer, has done a lot of stuff like RuPaul.

Did a lot of RuPaul stuff.

Choreography,

Oh, okay.

Yeah.

There was meant to be a new musical and it was meant to come on in the West End and it was absolutely plagued with issues where it kept opening and closing, opening and closing and loads of people blamed Todrick Hall for being like difficult to...

This is actually based off nothing because Todrick Hall left that production and it still was plagued with all these issues.

plays.

So if y'all don't know who Todrick Hall is, he started out as a YouTube singing sensation.

And I remember him first from doing all these...

What do you call them when you're just dancing in the street with a group of people? Oh, flash

First of all, it's in her, not on her.

Okay?

She would be Todrick Hall in a different lifetime.

No, because you like that.

Go to Chime.com slash Disclosure for details.

Speaking of shows in New York City, do you want to talk about Todrick Hall's headline-making, critically acclaimed new theater musical, Midnight, in which he portrays a slave nigga who falls in love with a white slave master or the slave master's son or some shit, and then they sing songs that sound like, you know, Lin-Manuel Miranda's... baby cousin wrote them yeah

I mean, we can.

I have not seen the show and won't see it now that I know the premise of it.

That is financial success.

That is success in the sense of the show doing well.

But I would not be able to live with myself if I was Todrick Hall.

I don't think I would be able to sleep at night knowing that I was putting nothing but coonery out into the world every single time I decided to do
