I mean, was this the intended cut that you had always wished had come out?

It is.

Yeah.

But like back in the back when we made the film, we shot it in 2000 and we're editing it.

Then, you know, back in that day, like indie films like really could needed to be everybody said it's got to be 90 minutes long.

or you won't be able to get a distributor.

And when we first assembled the movie, it was like two hours and 40 minutes long, and we almost had a heart attack.

Did you have anything that stands out from your time working with her on set?

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Amen.

My dear faithful, we are, of course, in this life, undertaking the one task that we all have to undertake.

There's no exceptions.

There's no way around it.

We have to work out our salvation.

What's the biggest surprises you guys have had after being in this film over the years? Any feedback from fans or people who've been inspired by it?

for me i always have i'm not really on you know instagram and stuff like that so so it's like i i have a little bit of a i'm always surprised that anybody cares about any of my films to be honest you know what i mean like um sure i i i don't i i don't really have a real sense for it uh usually you know and this was an interesting film that um we basically lost the rights to it.

And the distributor that distributed it, like went out of business in the middle of the release.

And despite the fact that it, I remember seeing it on blockbuster shelves and stuff like that, but like we, none of the money ever came back to the movie.

You know what I mean? So, so, so I never had a cent, but, but yet now, you know, that it's being re-released, people are saying, You know, oh my God, I saw that movie years ago or when I was a kid or whatever.

And so I guess that's one way you know that your movies are connecting is like if money comes back.

You know what I'm saying? And that never happened with this film.

I thought, what has... what's it been like working with some of those people and um has your careers changed because of gypsy 83 i know i've jumped ahead into some stuff you're doing recently but
