Todd Marinovich

part of it? Right.

And for every for every Messi or Mozart, there's also a Marinovich.

And, you know, people who were thought to be prodigies who never panned out.

So I'm with you.

It was all over the place.

But the guy that I thought you were going to go to, maybe as a deep cut, is Todd Marinovich.

Oh, yeah.

Roboclaw back.

bust.

It's so funny.

So you know why? I thought about guessing Todd Marinovich, Don.

That's not a bad one.

He's gone through all the Manning academies.

He's Todd Marinovich without the weirdness.

He's been, you know, you know, he's been made to be this guy.

Great kid.

Yeah, that's a tricky one.

So the second book I wrote called Morenovich, So this is an athlete, Todd Marinovich, who struggles with addiction.

And I say struggles as an active.

And he trusted me with his story.

But that book really was fun to write because what I saw in him was a man who toggled between aggression and empathy and was really struggling to kind of self-actualize.

And so when that book did well, We happened to be at a Raiders reunion because they put those on every year.

And Todd Marinovich was a quarterback for the Raiders.

And we started talking and we went from there, right? So to be honest, I don't think Todd appreciated when he signed up for it, how long this journey, this long, slow walk would be.

He's got all the tools.

He's like Todd Marinovich without all the weird parts of this, because he's been kind of the guy from birth.

You've got, you know, uncle Peyton and Eli, and you know, you've got the whole family, the whole Academy.

There's no one who's coached up better than he is.

Oh, okay.

Butt Fumble, Mark Sanchez, Bill Nelson, Vince Evans, Rudy Bucketsch, Dennis Shaw, Rob Johnson, Jim Hardy, Paul McDonald, Sean Salisbury, Cody Kessler, Mike Ray, and Todd Marinovich.

My clue, no fast food,

but plenty of weed.
