And I thought Tim Lester had some really great play calls in the first half.

It looked like they had a game plan that was gonna allow them to, to hang around in this one.

And then, you know, the longer you go against a team with as much talent as Ohio State, that talent is gonna win out, uh, 99 times out of 100, and it certainly did today.

There's no sugarcoating it.

Now, some of that is the sacks that get taken away, but, um, this offensive line is not opening the holes we thought they would, uh, and today didn't protect the quarterback like it needed to.

It kind of reminds me of a couple years ago right after Tyler Linderbaum graduated and they had like one or two years where it took everything to come together and gel for them but Kirk Ferentz's Hawkeyes are always at their best when they are able to play complimentary football with the run and the passing game.

And when you don't have one of the two facets that is helping support the other one, everything kind of comes unraveled for you.

Imagine going up against the Ohio State defense from a year ago.

Today would have been vastly different.

They have some guys that are still growing into their positions and their shoes, and they still look pretty good out there.

But Iowa has to run the ball in order to set up the passing game.

Unfortunately, they've got one more game before they can do that.
