Todd Bentley

Other churches around Western Canada and the States would have my kids come in and do prophetic meetings.

Todd Bentley, if you remember him, was one of the kids in my youth group who we wouldn't let him lead or do anything because he needed to work on his issues.

But he came out of that, God have mercy.

So it was doing, it was going pretty good.

And I have never seen a single airtight documented case of anyone being organically healed at the hand.

Oh, Todd Bentley, throw him in there as well.

I've been to those meetings.

I've never seen anybody healed.

He's doing something new.

Well, what about like kicking someone in the face with a biker boot to get healed? Because that's what Todd Bentley talked about Almost a decade and a half ago, in one of his revival meetings, I guess Todd Bentley, a dude who Bill Johnson appointed as a prophet and an apostle, you know? Very weird stuff.

Very unbiblical.

But you could say, hold on, let's not make a fetish of how God worked in the past.

Maybe that's what it is.

She's being filled with the spirit when you kick her in the face.

Now, most likely, Todd Bentley is just making this entire thing up just for laughs and for entertainment.

Of course, the people in the crowd are probably believing him.

NAR claimed all these miracles constantly in their services.

The Lakeland Revival, uh, with Todd Bentley many years ago claimed all kinds of angel sightings.

The Elijah List had guests on all the time telling them about gold dust in people's hair and diamonds falling on the floor and all this other stuff.

Th- this went on for years.

I'm looking at all this diversity of thought.

At the same time, the Lakeland Revival's happening, including, and this is where Revival Alliance starts, 'cause we're watching Bill and the Arnots and all these, all these charismatic bigwigs go to Lakeland and pray over Todd Bentley during this big televised revival.

So what was this?

And so there was a huge revival, I guess, happening where there's, like, it was, like, s- nightly meetings in Florida where all these people are getting healed for hours and hours and hours, and it's being televised on some Christian media network.

And all of these people who are arbiters of revival in the world go to Florida, pray over this guy, and basically say, "As the grandparents in this world, we are going to affirm what is happening here.

It's real, it's God, and we're gonna stand behind this person." Meanwhile, we don't realize that, like, the part of that is because Todd Bentley keeps, like, having affairs with his nannies and breaking up his relationship, so they're trying to protect the, like, revival.

But it was really interesting to watch 'cause all of a sudden in this moment you've got this, this Revival Alliance, which is the, what they call these, like, six couples that man- that are basically becoming the para organization that co-signs revival in America.

This is being birthed in this moment.

It was July 2008.

I went to a Todd Bentley conference.

[laughs]

Oh, no. [laughs]

This was after that infamous commissioning, I don't know if you saw that, [laughs] where there were ...

All, all the cast of characters were there.

Bill Johnson, Che Ahn, Lou Engle, Rick Joyner, like they were all there, Jim Goll, and they were commissioning the great Todd Bentley, right? And, um, and I'm, I'm gonna quote Che here.

He said, um, that, "He had a high degree of trust and appreciation for, for Todd Bent- Bentley's ministry, and he fully supported him as the leader of this new major spiritual awakening.

There are also, in the same chapter, we're going to go down just a little bit to verse 10, and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion, that is, their flesh is out of control.

What do we see with some of these false teachers? One I can think of just offhand is Todd Bentley.

Todd Bentley leaves his wife during a revival, goes with this new girl, marries her.

Few years later, there's allegations again as he's going out to evangelize and going to these revivals everywhere.

He's propositioning young women and young men on his ministry staff.
