So that, I think, was a good result there and a little bit of a shocker early.

And allowed him to get to the quarters, which eventually gave him an entry into the sectional tournament and another chance to qualify.

Yeah, good win for De Dura Palomero, but then he loses 1-1 to Petrico in the following round.

And that's kind of what we saw at All-Americans when we were like, oh my gosh, Toby Kodat, welcome to college tennis.

You just took out top seed Devin Badenhorst.

And it's like, well, then he loses next round.

You also have from NC State, Toby Kodat, Manning.

You have the Mayu brothers, uh, filtering in there from NC State and North Carolina respectively.

Like, this definitely has a lot of players in it even if it is missing the two top ranked players that should be in this regional, which are Mies Rockering and Luka Pal.

So Toby Kodat, NC State, one of the newcomers to be watching for, you know, he and Prada both out of the ACC end up making, you know, making it through.

One of the other things that I look at when I start looking at, hey, schools that had good showings here, a nice transfer for Baylor in Eric Scheisel coming over, and Scheisel ends up qualifying into the main draw.

And that was, to me, just because of what we saw last year, I was, look, I'll be honest, seeing Connor Van Skalkwyk make the finals of the consolation draw, That, to me, was a little bit of a surprise and a good qualifier for Baylor there in the NCAA singles tournament.

So, I mean, I think all in all, even though those two teams, you know, Wake and Baylor both had a disappointment in Powell and Badenhorst not making it through like we thought they would, they had some surprises in guys like Mosejczyk and Van Skolkwijk, to me, that kind of made up for that, as well as others.

yeah now i mean again there are a lot of great result like cooper six and four over jung joon we didn't talk about um laroe three and three over santa marta that's an awesome win rudy kwan of ucla four and three over toby kodat he beat balcyunis like rudy kwan looked good this tournament you know again i mentioned some of the disappointments i would also throw just like stanford in general like it just We didn't have a Rezegi or a Hudson Rivera.

We didn't get to see Kyle Ken.

Okay, so you have Battenhorst.

He takes on Toby Kodat of NC State.

Toby Kodat, one of the older players who was coming in as a freshman.

He did make it through qualifying.

You have Victor Markov of Clemson here as the 16th seed.

He faces Paul Babier-Gazou of South Carolina.

Now, if I hadn't seen Battenhorst compete throughout the summer, I would think that this would be a fairly tough match for him in the first round.

But just because Kodak's going to get a lot of balls back and make him hit a lot, I think Battenhorst makes it through this.
