Five years ago, the Kamloops Band announced 215 anomalies in an apple orchard.

Every flag in the country went to half-mast.

The prime minister himself knelt with a teddy bear in a photo op, and in five years, nobody has dug, not one shovel.

So, for instance, Peter Milibar, he said that it was a combination of different things that clashed with his values.

He famously was running against her in the leadership race, and she infamously criticized him for having a wife who is indigenous and worked for the Kamloops Indian Band as a potential conflict of interest.

He did not cite that as the only reason, however.

He said that, you know, there was a number of different things.

The claim was made on May 27th.

It got released to the public on May 27th, 2021, in a press release from the Kamloops Indian Band, which said that the remains of 215 children had been confirmed at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School and that some of those children were as young as 3 years old.

So that was the claim.

There was mention as well in the press release that this was due to ground penetrating radar.

And so he was saying that the principal, I think his last name was Noonan, was a really great guy.

It was very, very, you know, helpful to the students and so on.

So I think there's a lot of people in the Kamloops Indian Band who are not happy with the situation, but they're not really going to come out and be able to challenge the band on this issue.

It would be very, very difficult for them to do that, and they would suffer.
