Tj Capers

We look at this, uh, Louisville defense and, you know, they've had their struggles, but they've had some good moments.

They've done some good things, and, uh, I think, uh, the, uh, when you really look and take a deep dive into, uh, the defense o- on, on this team, uh, the two guys leading the way in tackles are TJ Capers and Stan Quan Clark, the two linebackers.

Capers has 48 tackles.

Clark has 43.

But big kind of picture takeaway, and this applies to Miami, this applies to FSU, pl- applies to UF especially, you know, FSU and UF who are building up their rosters.

Look at all the South Florida players in this game, TJ.

Yeah.

Isaac Brown is from Homestead.

Stanquan Clark, the linebacker number six from Killian, played at Central after that.

He's probably the best linebacker in this game by far, and the best, maybe he might have been the best linebacker of any of the teams we have if he would've gone to one of the state schools.

TJ Capers from Columbus, Morrow's alma mater, had 10 tackles as well.

Lorraine McCoy continues to make big, big plays.

It's just like when you, when you're not a good pass defense, there's that inherent variability where the other team makes some big plays, right? And then the, the game's a shootout and who knows where it goes.

But I wanna kind of put the ACC hat on there, TJ, 'cause you do ACC Football Addiction, you, you live in this world.

There's this idea that Louisville on the outside, you say, "Hey, good solid program.

They always win eight or nine games.

They, they got, they have a lot of Miami players in terms of descent, you know, like from Miami.

Um, so the, both those guys are good.

Linebackers, they got Stanquan Clark and TJ Capers, two Miami guys, really good.

Cleave Lubin should be the best pass rusher besides, that's not on Miami in the conference.

I mean, when you look strictly at the roster, the answer is yes.

You talk about guys like Stan Kwan Clark, TJ Capers, Taon Holloway, who was preseason All-ACC first team at cornerback.

Cohen Entringer was one of the captains of the Iowa Hawkeyes defense a season ago, started 2017.

12 games at strong safety.

I would go a step further and say that it's pretty rare.

The last five-star commitment, I'll say, was TJ Capers.

Now, when he reclassified, he dropped down the rankings, but I'm going to say it counts because when he committed, he was a five-star.

If he would have stayed in that class, he probably would have remained a five-star, so I'm going to say it counts.

And we give them a three and out at the end of the game when we need a three and out to stay alive.

That was an incredible play by TJ Capers.

But can we not have our cake and eat it too?

Well, I mean, I'm just saying if you had told me at halftime when we're down 24-21 that we're not going to let them score a touchdown in the second half, I would have told you, well, we win this game by two scores.
