for his death, which is actually how he died, so that makes sense.

And to further this, he ended up going and getting himself this scythe from the Tinkerer, which is a Spider-Man villain who builds stuff.
ChrisGUEST

He was actually in Spider-Man Homecoming If you watch that movie and then he went to go fight the Avengers and was promptly defeated by them pretty, pretty quickly, pretty easily on his second attempt to fight the Avengers and take them down.

This was when he learned that Simon's brainwaves prior to his death were recorded and then they were used to make the vision.

Like, God, I'd love to...

I heard that Phineas Mason was there.

Had an android.

That's cool.

You know, I think one of the lingering aspects, especially with episodes three and four, is seeing sort of like Ultron further kind of impose himself in the proceedings, especially with Vision, Eda, Friday, and the rest of them trying to figure out who the Butcherbird killer is and... you know really kind of getting understanding of tommy and just everything that's happening especially dealing with paladin which we'll get i'll get into in a minute um so i i am definitely digging sort of the evolution of vision of of ultron where it's like he's helping the crew but there's that trepidation of you can't quite trust them because there's something going on um before i get into paladin i have to put this out here um well no let's get into paladin Now, one of my favorite things about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is always the notion of there always being sort of back end stuff happening, you know, while everything we're seeing on the front end is happening.

I may have mentioned this in the last recap, but anyways, the whole thing with like, for instance, in Spider-Man Homecoming with the Tinkerer, him using Chitauri tech and repurposing it for weapons, right? Those kind of things.
CJHOST

There's a black market as much in the MCU.
CJHOST

And we saw it as much in Falcon Winter Soldier with Madripoor and their things happening there.
Cody ZiglarGUEST

I, so the...

What I loved about that game was the villain is the Tinkerer, and I love that Tinkerer is someone who is Miles' age.
Peter MelnickHOST
33:18
Yeah.
Cody ZiglarGUEST
33:18
And I was like, "Oh, I would..." 'Cause Miles is usually fighting, like, 40, 50-year-old guys, and I'm like, "Why do these men have beef with a c- with a teen?" So I would love...
Cody ZiglarGUEST
33:26
I wanted to give him more villains around his own age.
Cody ZiglarGUEST
33:29
I love that the Tinkerer was a woman in that, or a, a girl, depending on what age or whatever, and, like, I loved that.
Cody ZiglarGUEST
33:34
And, like, it just felt rich and textural and also real.
Cody ZiglarGUEST
33:37
Um, so I went into it wanting to do that as the main thing, and then also just write a book that I would've been e- excited to read when I was 16.

Again, it's a small thing, but I like it.
speaker_2HOST
24:29
Um- That's one of the things that, again, much like, much like with Spider-Man: Homecoming, I've always been a fan of the sort of black market world that we have in the MCU, where it's like in, you know, Homecoming, we saw the Tinkerer taking some of the Chitauri tech and all that stuff and making weapons.
speaker_2HOST
24:47
And, you know, Vulture end up becoming a weapons dealer out of that and stuff.

24:51
And those are, those are-- those small moments are things that make sense that you can kind of put in play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because it's something that kind of echoes across the board in different, you know, shows and movies and such.

For a [laughs] very image name, right? B, tired of being pushed around his entire life by those he saw as intellectually inferior, Lawrence Funderburke created a super suit of immense power that he uses to crush his enemies as the constricting criminal known as The Loop.

C, Anthony Davis toiled for years as a small-time criminal until he hired The Tinkerer to create him a battle suit and weaponry that relies on the awesome power of rings, enabling him to become the circle of evil known as The Ringer.

Finally, D, John Sykes is the one super criminal no one wants to hang out with.
AdamHOST

He's got no powers, no great weaponry, and zero personality.
