And it is being led by Phil Knight and Tinker Hatfield and a couple other Nike people are there as well.

They're coming up and they're showing us the new uniforms because remember, Oregon wore the UO block helmets with the yellow helmet, green or white jersey, yellow pants.

That was Oregon's look.

And he said, okay, George, who has more uniform combinations? I said, Miami.

Because Miami can, because of their stripes on the side or lack thereof, they can mix and match different, their orange uniform, green, white, all of that with different pants.

He looks at Tinker Hatfield, Tinker Hatfield is like, yeah, he is right.

And then he asked me, George, what other colors would you guys want? Yellow, black, I don't know, gray? And that was kind of, and then going to 2003, and this is why the uniforms getting a refresh every three to four years was for Oregon matters because this meeting happened in 2000.

I want to take you back to 2000.

There was a meeting between the Oregon football team that I was on, Phil Knight, Tinker Hatfield, and a few other people at Nike.

And the story goes is that Phil and Tinker up there, they're presenting the new uniforms because mind you, the uniforms changed from the green and yellow that you kind of see retro now with their usual uniforms to what changed in 99 when I got there with the, that's when the O came in and they stopped using the interlocking UO and just started using the O that everybody recognizes now.

Like that was the transition of Oregon football.
