Tina Kotek's approval numbers were terrible.

Oregon was ready to shop around.

On the trail, Kotek herself said, the wheels of change are probably a little slower than I'm happy with.

And the worst part about all this, it didn't have to be like this.

I'm also really sad that Christine Drazen did not win the governorship in Oregon, because I don't know what you people are thinking who vote for Tina Kotek, but you've gone through four years.

She worked as hard as she could to keep you from getting to vote on the gas tax.

And you still elected her.

Yeah, really wasn't close.

We were kind of sold that this was going to be like some sort of tight race, and she beat the brakes off of her.

State Senator Christine Drazen issued a lengthy written statement this afternoon.

saying, quote, Oregon is worth fighting for and elections determine who holds office.

Democratic Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has won a second term maintaining the party's four decade hold on the governorship.

Oregon Democrats are also leading in races that could help them maintain or even expand their supermajority powers in the state Senate.

and the State House.

Not really looking that close right now.

The last time I looked, it was more than six percentage points.

The win for Tina Kotek, that's with something like 75 percent reporting.

What stands out to you here?

A failed governor in Oregon.

I mean, one of the least popular governors in the entire United States of America, Tina Kotek, won reelection by a healthy margin.

So a governor who drove her state into the ditch on education, on the economy, and on jobs gets four more years to finish her destruction.

Figure that one out.

Yeah, I guess the margin surprised me, but I guess what I find disappointing is I understand there are people who hate Donald Trump.

Fine.

But whether or not Tina Kotek can solve the problems of the state of Oregon has nothing to do with Donald Trump.

It has nothing to do with abortion, although she wanted to make the race all about abortion and Donald Trump.

Oregon State House District 57 Republican Greg Smith 71% of the vote there.

For Oregon Governor, last check, Tina Kotek had about 52% of the vote.

Christine Drazen, a little over 45% of the vote.

Kotek declared the winner by the Oregonian, Oregon Live, and the Associated Press.

Texas saw Democrats win the governorship and the Senate seat.

Here in Oregon, it appears the Democrats will see their majorities go up a bit in both the Senate and the House.

Tina Kotek has been declared the winner of the Oregon governor's race over Christine Drazen.
