On September 12, 1970, Timothy Leary, a former Harvard psychologist and well-known advocate of psychedelic drugs, whom Richard Dixon famously called the most dangerous man in America, escaped from the California men's colony in San Luis Obispo County, where he was serving a sentence for marijuana possession.

The escape was masterminded by the Weather Underground, a far-left militant group that grew out of the Vietnam War era.

On September 11, 1981, the Abalone Alliance Anti-Nuclear Group blockade of Diablo Canyon, which lasted for 10 days, ended.

The biggest university here in the city of Atlanta has a department... dedicated to psychedelic and spiritual studies.

I'm not talking about one professor, talking about Timothy Leary and Albert Hoffman.

No, a whole department dedicated to these because we need this.

And because around that time I had said to him what I was learning from the hippie movement is that God is dead, and that was, that comes from Nietzsche, I believe, and that was one of Timothy Leary, who was promoting the LSD.

That was a big thing.

And so I, it wasn't only that he went with me.

An investigation fifty years ago, says the archives, by Seymour Hersh first triggered the inquiry which revealed MKUltra to the public, and also pointed out that big pharma, Eli Lilly and company et al., developed a process to streamline the manufacture of LSD in late nineteen fifty-four, and then became the CIA's main supplier of the psychedelic drug.

And we know what happened after Timothy Leary got involved in the early sixties.

The true extent, it says, of the CIA's mind control experiments, though, may never be known because, you knew this, didn't you, much of the evidence has already been destroyed.

And I think to a significant degree, our organ experience and our cellular experience.

I really love, Timothy Leary used to talk about the collective unconscious of Jung as the neurogenetic intelligence.

He thought of it as like an information circuit between the neurons that make up your brain and the DNA structures within each of those neural cells.

So whether that's true or not, there's a sense in which there's a kind of phantasmal ocean of the world of cellular lives.
