Uh, Tim Wood, our plant hunter, likes to call Brandywine viburnum, "The most beautiful berry display in the plant kingdom."

I did write it, but I was quoting him.

Okay.

And even if you could excuse that, the actual individual fruitlets themselves are not particularly flavorful.

So I would never really buy blackberries, and I certainly would never have given space in my garden to growing them.

Uh, but there is a lot of blackberry breeding work happening at the University of Arkansas, and Tim Wood, our new product development manager, went down there and literally spent days tasting hundreds and hundreds of different blackberries-
