So, Tim, there are currently two small commercial buildings on this site, right? And, boy, we could use some apartment buildings, right?

Yeah, this is kind of an interesting situation because, as you say, we certainly need more apartment buildings.

We did a quick check here at the Chronicle of Listings for apartments in Chatham and found one or two available at this point.

And this proposal would replace these two small commercial buildings at 1134 Main Street with a 18 unit apartment building, three stories.

It would be pretty large, one of the larger buildings in that side of town.

And the idea would be that 12 of the apartments would be two bedroom apartments with They're being touted by the developers as attainable.

They haven't told us what the rent would be, but that's what they're billing these as.

So what's the issue?
