He is the economist at the University of Chicago who effectively discovered Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky's work and brought it into the The mainstream economics, those guys were really on the fringe, even as the founding fathers of behavioral economics.

Thaler was the one who coined the term behavioral economics, and he's the one who probably only three or four people can refer to Danny Kahneman or referred to as Kahneman has now since passed.
