Tim Mair

My name is Kayleigh Cook and welcome to the Equine Veterinary Education Journal podcast.

Today I'm delighted to be joined by Tim Mair.

So Tim, following graduation from the University of Bristol, worked in mixed practice before returning to Bristol to undertake research in equine immunology and lecturing in equine medicine.

He joined Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic in 1989, concentrating on internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and advanced imaging.

He's honorary professor at the Royal Veterinary College, a past president of the British Equine Veterinary Association and editor of Equine Veterinary Education.

He's Equine Veterinary Director of CVS and his research and quality improvement focuses on antibiotic and anthelmintic use in equine practice.

Today, we're going to discuss the paper, Survey of Veterinary Students' Perceptions about a Career in Equine Practice by Emily Alcock, Imogen Schofield, Brad Hill, Helen Braid and Tim Mair.

So hi Tim, thank you for joining us.
