The other band that I saw recently, well, not band, but I saw Tim Finn, as you know, and that was a really, that was kind of, uh the opposite of the massive attack uh concert in the sense that uh this is 74 years of history of a guy who has had a pretty extraordinary career his his voice is it kind of wavers at certain points it's like he can hit really high he can do really low there somewhere there's there's a part somewhere in the middle that he slightly struggles with but he's also 74 and he's giving it a go and I don't that sounds patronizing he's giving it his all and it adds a level of fragility to the performance which I found really endearing

Yeah, I liked how you wrote that because I'd missed that.

I'd kind of, in my brain, despite the fact that I love him and they were one of my first favourite bands and all that sort of stuff, I saw some recent footage of the Split Ends gigs and I heard that Tim's voice was faltering in parts and I just sort of went, oh, no, I don't need to see that kind of thing.

It's funny, of the first four Crowded House albums, which I think are unassailable, I'd put that run up against any band's run of four albums.

But Woodface was my least favourite of the four.

And I wasn't sure that I wanted Tim Finn in the band.

It felt like he was intruding in a way.

It became the metal's biggest hit after it was featured in the Crocodile Dundee movie, reaching number two on our local charts, plus was charting internationally as well.

Tim Finn took up the middle space there with Staring At The Embers.

And firstly, Dragon with Are You Old Enough? And we threw that in today because Mark Hunter, the lead singer, he was born on this date, the 7th of September in 1953.

He died in 1998.
