Tim Ernst

So I went through a few different banks and just wasn't able to get more traditional financing, which pushed me into the hard money loan space for the first couple of commercial buildings we bought.

I ended up working and borrowing money from a gentleman named Tim Ernst, who is my current CEO.

You can see where this story's going.

But Tim lent us money based off the value of the building.

So we found ourselves in need of basically a hard money loan.

And that's where Tim Ernst, our current CEO, came in.

So I was introduced to Tim and we were in need of capital.

He met me and intuited our building and the building's amazing.

The federal uncertainty and that stuff is real and certainly on our mind.

It made it very easy to go the complete opposite way and do something more on the conservative side.

So that made me approach Tim Ernst about five years ago, kind of explain what I just told him or just told you guys.

And that led to the start of private money funding.
