Tim Bontemps

So he's been around the MVP conversation.

In fact, when Tim Bontemps used to do that straw poll – of course, he's with the Hawks now, so I don't know who's going to do the straw poll.

He'd do it like the quarter mark, and Tatum at one point was the leader for MVP.

Of course, he didn't end up winning it.

Now, sure, they've committed some egregious sins against the fandom of the Cavaliers.

They platformed Tim Bontemps willingly.

Twice, I believe.

But in addition to pretending to his face that he was a respectable media figure, they then lied about the Road to 300, claiming their campaign in support of Sam Merrill came in advance of mine, and we all know that that's a goddamn lie.

Yes, technically he's not a Cav, but I mean, I think it's kind of tangentially related to the Cavs from that trade.

Beards are unprofessional in media.

Uh, and then the Hawks will be worse after employing Tim Bontemps.

Those are my various wildcard agendas.

We'll get there.

And, "I also think Hoop Collective is not the same since Tim Bontemps lo- left to join the Atlanta Hawks." So-

It's so funny that Tim Bontemps left to join the Hawks.

He got 19 out of the 30 correct.

Next closest was a trio of David Thorpe, Tim Bontemps, and Grant Hughes at 16 and 14.

Those four out of the 11 that I was able to find people really putting their name to, "Hey, this is the over/under for all 30," were the only ones that went over 500.

And D, theoretically on paper, this is the type of thing you could ask somebody off of the street over or under on this particular team.

Tim McMahon, it's basically Brian and Tim, because Tim Bontemps, friend of the program, well, he's never been on the program, but he is a friend of the show, just maybe behind the scenes, I guess is what you could say.

But Michael Wright of ESPN locally showed up on the show, I guess yesterday.

When he arrived at, uh, the Garden, I thought I saw something there.

And it's funny, Tim Bontemps, who's now working in the NBA- He used to, uh, kid me in my, uh, in, in Brunson's early weeks and months with the Knicks that every time I showed up, I was at the New York Post at the time writing a column about the Knicks, every single time I wrote about Jalen Brunson.

And he said, "Do you realize there are other people on this team?" And I said, "Yeah, I do, but I, I see, I think I see a Jeter thing going on here where, with Brunson where he's a perfect fit not only for this New York team, but for the market.
