I genuinely don't know the answer because it's not really public knowledge unless you chat into the guys in-house.

S
21:26Simon RichardsonHOST
Uh, Tiffany Cromwell, uh, has called time on her professional road cycling career after 16 years, and she's gonna call time on professional cycling full stop, uh, we think, after the home Gravel World Championships next month, or her home Gravel World Championships next month.

16 years, quite a good stint-
S

It's not a bad stint, that, yeah

Ben Swift of Net Company Ineos will hang up his racing wheels at the end of this season after 18 years as a pro rider, whilst Tiffany Cromwell will retire after competing at her home gravel world championships in Australia in mid-October.
D
13:15Dan LloydHOST
Both have had incredibly solid careers, and they've also been great ambassadors for our sport, so congratulations to both.

In other news, Mathieu van der Poel is set to ride the Tour of Luxembourg next week as his preparation for the World Road Championships, rather than the Canadian one-day races in Quebec and Montreal.

48 MINS LATER
A
48:44Abby MickeyHOST
Um, I think that Visma Lisa bike is going to be a better environment for her, um, overall, and we're going to see a lot more out of her next year.
A
48:52Abby MickeyHOST
So those are kind of the, the most recent transfers that I'm very much looking forward to.
A
48:58Abby MickeyHOST
And before we kind of wrap up the episode, just wanted to mention that Tiffany Cromwell announced after the Philly, uh, classic that that was her final professional road race.
A
49:10Abby MickeyHOST
Um, she announced it out of the blue.
Blessed by the Holy Spirit of Gravel

I wish they would have had.
L
29:20Leni HsogGUEST
So we weren't filming when this happened, but I was sitting there when Tiffany Cromwell came up and oh my God, dude, that was like the funniest thing.
L
29:28Leni HsogGUEST
That's oh man.
L
29:30Leni HsogGUEST
I wish a camera would have been on that.
E
30:14Esma TaylorHOST
She's doing funny.
E
30:15Esma TaylorHOST
Insert quotation.
L
30:17Leni HsogGUEST
But, uh, and then, uh, I'm sitting there like messing with my phone and Tiffany Cromwell comes up.
L
30:24Leni HsogGUEST
And okay, so the only reason I went up to her is because at this point now, in the women's field, since I was doing their media coverage, when there's someone I don't know personally or haven't met personally, I introduced myself just to get like that interaction done.
What the Tour of Britain can tell us about the upcoming Worlds
A
54:35Abby MickeyHOST
There are big European teams.
A
54:37Abby MickeyHOST
Yeah, Canyon Stram is going to head over and do it, and they've... got um tiff cromwell's already in the us because she did gravel worlds not the world championships but it's named gravel worlds in nebraska um recently but they also have micah vandadoon is going over to do it and there's some um italian teams as well but it is a huge race and of course the two american world tour teams will be there with uh human powered health and ef education only So it'll be a really good race.
A
55:08Abby MickeyHOST
And it's a great opportunity for a lot of American teams, but...
A
55:12Abby MickeyHOST
when we were racing lauren they had a lot of chances to line up against the top teams with like redlands and tour california and stuff but with california not on this calendar anymore and a lot of the teams don't go over to do redlands either so it's the only opportunity for a lot of american riders to be able to line up against against world tour teams so it's a very it's going to be a very very exciting race and i'm absolutely thrilled that it is back it's Who knows? Maybe maybe bike racing will return.
Maddy Nutt: How Good Could You Actually Be?
M
13:37Maddy NuttGUEST
And I'll do the fifth one this year in Australia.
M
13:39Maddy NuttGUEST
I think only me and Tiff Cromwell have done all of them.
M
13:42Maddy NuttGUEST
And I think she's retiring this year.
M
13:44Maddy NuttGUEST
So maybe if I keep going next year to world champs, maybe I'll be the only one who's done all of them, which would be cool.
