One of the number one complaints podcasters who host guest style episodes is that their guests don't promote their episodes.

Well, a lot of times as podcasters, we like to think about what we are getting out of the episode, not what the guest is trying to get out of the episode, and that's, I think, where the difference comes in.

You need to produce something that the guest loves themselves, so they want to naturally promote it.

Now, you may be saying, "Well, how can I do that?" You obviously want the guest on for a reason, whether it's to give your listeners some education or for whatever reason it may be.

But try to put your guest actually above your own needs.
