Tierney Sutton

Um, uh, part of our 20th anniversary, uh, after, uh, this concert with Alfredo Rodriguez, uh, Wednesday night, we're gonna bring legendary trumpeter and singer from New Orleans, Wendell Brunious, on November 11th.

Then in January, we're bringing Grammy, uh, nominated several times, Tierney Sutton.

Wonderful singer, and she lives six months in Paris, six months in the U.S. And that's January 14th.

And then we're gonna conclude with Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra April 7th.

I'm Robert Miller, your host.

I am honored to have Tierney Sutton, a nine-time Grammy-nominated superb jazz singer, as my guest today.

Since 1993, she has fronted the Tierney Sutton Band.

Clint Eastwood has called her my favorite singer, and he hired her to score his film Sully, in which she sang the ending song, Flying Home.

She's released 16 albums as the leader, addressing themes like materialism and the pursuit of happiness.

And I chose this song because it's a song that Tierney and I have in common, as she recorded her version on her Joni Mitchell tribute album, After Blue.

So I thought that that worked perfectly.

So Tierney Sutton, welcome to the Follow Your Dream podcast.
