I feel like there was always a level of intrigue, like a much less than deserved level of intrigue about the Final Fantasy Islanders and that they would like come back up somehow like Titus, especially because he kind of looks like Sora.

You know, a lot of people thought that Roxas was Tidus for a while.

Stupid.

In the very earliest days when, you know, you couldn't really see Roxas's face and you saw them on the clock tower.

You know, Olette, maybe in 180p, there's a resemblance to Selfie.

So people are like, oh, it's Tidus and Maka and Selfie.

And you just kind of, you look at Pence and you're like, nope.

I don't know

Yeah

... be like, "What do you mean Tidus looks slightly different?" Which people are up in arms about the remaster.

Uh, but you know, like, if certain things played out slightly differently I would like to think I would be a little bit more level-headed and accepting, but I, I also get it that, like, these games are very personal to a lot of people.

Now, the history, for those of you who may not know, from my understanding, goes all the way back to kind of like tabletop RPGs, right? In the aspect of...

when you're playing something like D&D, you would upgrade level of your character and then you roll dice.

I really liked this aspect of random rights in terms of your character is still growing, but it's based on luck and chance on how far they can grow.

Now, I don't know which edition of D&D that aspect came in, but I know it's definitely more common in fifth, fourth and fifth edition, if I believe.

But this whole aspect of skill trees and leveling up has been part of any aspect of video games for all outside of video games, tabletops, etc.

The skill trees, to be clear, I may have spoken to some of the designers, maybe given some feedback, but that's the most that I've ever gotten involved with a skill tree, right? I'd love for a designer to create a proper book on skill trees, right? Like imagine someone from Blizzard who's worked on World of Warcraft, which we'll touch on in a second, all the density of how they change their talent trees to now have just like a talent pool, as well as maybe some designers who are traditionally more worked on RPGs with that BJ RPGs or more traditional, traditional is not the right word, but more Western RPGs like someone from, say, Larian.

Those aspects I love to see nailed down because it's such a specific element of design.

Yet, each and every one of you listening, watching, has actually interacted with the aspect of skill trees and the design of evolving as a character in each kind of system, right? food for thought for anyone who is thinking about that heck if you really wanted to do it i would actually contribute to providing some publishing maybe something like that so if there is some incredible designs out there let me know anyway i've got off topic But as I said, some of the things that I've seen online which shared about quote-unquote what makes good skill trees, shall we say, are a few things.
