So clopidogrel or Plavix needs liver activation, and a lot of patients are poor responders to it.

You have other drugs like ticagrelor, also known as Brilinta.

This is not a pro drug, and it's gonna bind reversibly.

So in general, clopidogrel and ticagrelor are held about five days before elective surgery.
