TI-84 Plus series

Those things are objective, right.

And so, like, we've got our co-host in the back has just done the calculation with a TI-84 or TI-89.

So it is correct, 1 plus 1, oh, 83.

It is correct, 1 plus 1 equals 2.

What is that? What

am I, a TI-84 calculator? I don't want to see this stuff, Jay.

Why are you showing me these numbers, man? You just can't ignore that consistently.

His teams have not been much better, if any better, with him on the floor.

As writer Graham Kendall explained in a 2019 article for Pacific Standard Magazine, when you compare today's technology to the Apollo computer, it's not even close.

And they looked at calculators, specifically the TI-84, a calculator released by Texas Instruments in 2004.

It's the kind college students buy.

In terms of memory, the TI-84, which, again, is a calculator, has 32 times more RAM than the Apollo computer.

The computer that took a spaceship to the moon.

In terms of processing, the TI-84 is 350 times faster.

A calculator compared to a spaceship computer.

And the TI-84 is more than 20 years old now.

So we had a used TI-83 market.

And then when the TI-84 came out, I was still in high school.

There was a schism between the kids who could afford the new TI-84s despite having the TI-83s and then just a whole drama.

And if you had the silver edition like I did, you felt special just because it was translucent.

Calculators are super mature, super complicated.

They can do all the things.

This is just basically like the line from the TI-81 to this one in front of us, the TI-84 Plus, is very straight and very short.
