But, uh, one of the things that sticks out was that he obviously went down south, and it was like, we, we kind of joke with him, saying, "How do you get noticed when you're from Thurso? How do you get noticed from Ross County, let alone Liverpool?" But obviously he explains it all.
Ronny CostelloHOST

Oh nice, so funnily enough for part of my work I travel quite a bit around Scotland so I have been to almost every where in Scotland apart from like quite far west in the Hebrides and like the islands and like way up north to like Thurso.
Grant DonaldsonGUEST
6:07
Air is not that bad I think when you go up in it it's a bit sort of like yeah i get that uh you you want to leave but uh compared to some of the places it's actually a nice place and yeah i've still got all my family still live there so i do go down quite a lot but uh no funnily enough there's like oh who was it is it matt a guy from vans in dundee he's now going out with a girl from here last time i spoke to them anyway and he's like he's like here's lovely and i was like i refuse I refuse to believe it, but no, it's nice.
Grant DonaldsonGUEST
6:37
What do you think about here? I mean, I like
Ronny CostelloHOST

it right back.
Ronny CostelloHOST

Like, obviously, it's far away and small town but not as small as you think there's maybe 8,000 people in Thurso or eight or nine thousand people so not not like tiny my school had maybe a thousand pupils in it so quite a lot obviously a lot a lot of friends and you're you're isolated up there there's not too much before you get there but you get there there's a wee bit to do and um Yeah, it's just, I remember playing football so much, you know, it was a time where, you know, you weren't on, before phones, before iPads, all this type of stuff, so you would just finish school, go out with your mates and just kick a ball about, or whether that be at the park or the street or anything, so, I mean, that's a lot of my memories up there, and yeah, it was a good time, any chance I get, I like to go back, although, You know, it takes five hours or so drive to get there one way, which is wild.
Gary Mackay-StevenGUEST
45:29
So it's a camel trek up there.
Gary Mackay-StevenGUEST
45:32
But no, it's nice to go back.

Uh, but yeah, so the, what we're doing is, me and Sanj, we'll be talking to Mark McAllister, we'll be talking to RJ Cash and Arkham from Combat League Wrestling up in Thurso.
Billy StrachanHOST
15:00
So that was essentially my pitch, is 'cause it's a company that's in the Highlands.
Billy StrachanHOST
15:05
Why not try and promote the, the Highland wrestling scene? Because anytime I've spoken to, to anybody about Combat League, it just bu- it just fascinates people that this, this kind of little corner of Scotland has got this, this...

Claire SparrowHOST
