Jerome's little book, which I'm sure you all read regularly, called Three Men in a Boat.

It was actually published in 1889, and it's still in print, so it's gotta be a pretty good book if after all these years it is still in print.

And, uh, it's the story, a humorous story, a little quaint for our years now, but the story of three men going down the Thames on a boat and the preparations that they make for this journey.

Anyway, let's move on.

What about a complete change of pace here? Three Men in a Boat at the Rose Theatre in Kingston-upon-Thames.

It's based on Jerome K. Jerome's classic comic novel, published way back in 1889, about three men and a dog.

going on a two-week boating holiday up the Thames from Kingston to Oxford.

Flora just walks into the room and switches the darkness off at the wall.

Which perfectly brings us to another masterpiece of practical chaos, number four on the list, Three Men in a Boat to Say Nothing of the Dog by Jerome K. Jerome, published way back in 1889.

The premise is almost criminally simple.

Three middle class friends, J, George, and Harris, and their fox terrier, Montmorency, decide they are overworked and need a holiday.

We should just say that Christopher Hayden is now running The Rose in Kingston and doing a brilliant job.

I really want to see the show that's just opened there, Jerome K. Jerome's Three Men in a Boat, which is a book I absolutely adore.

So I will be making my way to that.
