Thomas Mellon

Now, we've had administrators here.

We had Tom Mellon.

We had Rudy Nothenberg.

How would this measure... compare in terms of power of previous, what was called the chief administrative officer?

It is, and I'm worried, and San Franciscans should be worried, that the increased authority of the city

administrator...

The city administrator, let me point out, years ago, when Tom Mellon was the administrator... was a very powerful position.

And your argument is that you would rather see the powerful position be the position of the mayor.

Very similarly is Central Power.

Director Troy Presser was elected to serve on the basin board for Central Power, and Tom Mellon is their CEO and general manager.

So if you live in this area, there's a high likelihood you might fall underneath one of these two cooperatives.

So the importance of all this, why is this so important and why is what we do as an industry so critical? Well, it's essentially this, we feed and fuel the entire world.
