He was very happy also to talk up the work being done by Shaun Crichton and Jim Duffy at Queens Park this week.

If you actually look at the table, Queens Park can leapfrog Dunfermline with a win today, and they come into this game, as I said earlier, off the back of a draw against Thistle and a win over Morton, so they are doing fine as well.

Michael Ruth was a hero with a double against Morton last week.

He's now in form for the season, and he'll probably carry the biggest threat to the Pars.

Dunfermline are in the bottom half of the league.

The ownership don't expect that or want that.

For Queens Park, kicked off the league season with three defeats in a row, but a couple of good results, draw against Thistle and a win against Morton.

They'll be hoping that that's them starting to pick up a bit of momentum.

Celtic forced to dig deep to see off plucky Partick's side.

Celtic women were twice pegged back before seeing off Partick Thistle 3-2 at Petershill Park on Sunday.

The visitors took the lead after five minutes when Izzy Fisher's long-range volley beat Eva Easton.

However, Thistle equalised after 24 minutes thanks to the persistence of Imogen Lockake.

Celtic went back in front 10 minutes into the second period as Hannah Jordan took advantage of a slack back pass from Morgan Hay.

Two minutes later and the home side were level once again as Sophie Townsley couldn't keep out an effort from Aide Gaye.

It is obviously nice to score and help the team, because at the end of the day, it's about the whole squad.

It shows that everyone's going to be needed at different points in the season, and maybe Sunday was just my time to turn up.

They birdie the next one, Adam Hammes, from the thistles.

So his lie is, like, up against the thistle.

Did you watch the game on Friday night between Thistle and, and Cali- Caley Thistle and, and Partick Thistle? Yes.

Uh, a poor game and a, a, a point was about right enough.

However, in terms of, in terms of this weekend, I, I do expect Thistle to, to deal with Queen's Park quite comfortably.

I think the last time that Queen's Park beat them might've been January 2023, and since then, I think it's, like, Thistle have massively been- Yeah ...

There was one last night as well, of course.

Inverness Caley Thistle scoring late to rescue a point at home to Partick Thistle.

And maybe that impacts the mindset today.

Maybe some of the guys that want to compete at the top end of the table will try and take advantage and get their three points on the board.

But they've actually both had a bit of an inconsistent start to the season and haven't quite gone to their stride yet.

Livingston didn't get out of the League Cup stage, and have one win and one defeat for the two league games.

I'm not sure new manager Glenn Whelan would have wanted a weekend off last Saturday when, uh, they'd lost to Partick Thistle a fortnight ago.

But he's had time to get his team ready for this one, and they've got a lot of players.
