This Woman's Work

And, um, it was funny.

In, in the, in the halftime in the show, I was out at the crowds, and I spotted Tim McInnerny, who was in her video for This, This Woman's Work.

Yes.

I went, "Oh, it's you." And, um, [laughs] he went, "Yeah." I said, "You were in This Woman's Work." He went, "Yeah." And then he saw it was so lovely, and, um, I had a good chat with him, and then he said, "Oh, I'm, I'm meeting her afterwards for a drink." And it was almost like he was going to say, "You should come with me." And I found myself backing away before he had the chance to say it.

"Lovely to meet you, Tim.

Gotta go." And since becoming an MP, I've had a couple of people say, like, from the Ivors, and 'cause she's a fellow, I think, of the Ivors, "If you want to meet her, let us know." And I just ...

And, and I choose the word tantrum because it takes us back to our childhood where we didn't have so many filters on e- expressing ourselves.

The practice is to just play literally 30 seconds of a song that resonates with the emotion which for me, as you were speaking, I, I suddenly heard that Kate Bush song, This Woman's Work.

I know the audio is not perhaps going to be the ultimate finest audio, but it's what I want to say about that.

So you did good.

So we're going to do it together for a minute.

And how you do it in a contained way is you pick a song that kind of hits.

And so when you were describing what's going on with your kid, and by the way, I've been through similar things with Maggie because I got divorced from her dad when she was seven.

it's so clear how they're dancing as one um and i just want to give a shout out to sarah and doug craft you guys are so wonderful to have at our events we always love having you guys a dac hope studio like it was so fun and i've never had them at one of my events before so i was kind of a new experience seeing like what their choreography looks like what their dancers look like on stage it was so fun i really enjoyed those two performances awesome job dancers um OK,

I want to talk about Stars Elite Dance Center 459, This Woman's Work.

One thing about Stars Elite is that, you know, you're going to see the most beautiful lyrical performances from them.

Like literally it stops you in your tracks for sure.

Number two, Maxwell was like in there.

We was in there with him, but he, We got something super special with his Unplugged when he did his version of this woman's work.

Once again, they had the live version, which I think is the definitive version of Maxwell's tune, but they also have an in-studio version of it as well.

But what's so unique about this is, of course, he's taking this pop song that's a remake.

Up there.

I wonder, I've never seen Maxwell live.
