Wow.

And I thought, "Well, I have to listen to this, and I have to do this." And so in speaking the idea out loud, it came together quite quickly, and it's distributed by Thirty Tigers, and, which is a wonderful independent record distributor.

And they're the ones who paired me with Joe Henry, and Joe understood the sort of tribute I wanted to make, and he put the musicians together.

We chose the songs together of the over 20 that I had-

Now, some labels are shifting to coaching, songwriting workshops, vocal coaching, brand strategy, and even mental health resources for artists on tour.

In practice, that's often what we see with boutique labels like those under the Indie Umbrella or companies such as Thirty Tigers that partner rather than fully manage.

They might handle distribution, PR, but leave mastering to freelancers.

Take sync licensing.

So I was like, well, a little hesitant.

By this time, WB Walker had put me in touch with David Macias at 30 Tigers.

So I'd been talking to David for like a year.

And David gave me a whole lot of connections and advice and stuff like that.

Like, you know, so I was like, well, that sounds great.

And before that Zoom meeting ended, like the first literally had the meeting and then.

uh talk to talk to them and at the end of it uh Brian was like well first first order of business would do you want to open for Willie two nights I was like are you kidding me you know and dude all this is within like three months four months of wow you know going all in on music and so I immediately every domino was falling like I knew it was the right choice and then That all led to the next record, and 30 Tigers distributing it, and I met Sadler, Vaden, and obviously Jason Isbell's music's a huge inspiration, and so the 400 unit, these guys are like heroes to me.

I met Sadler and he's going to produce the record and he was going to use the band he used for Morgan Wade's record that he produced.
