And that's the mechanical difference.

When the lid flexes, the glass doesn't absorb anything.

It just goes along for the ride, and the panel behind it takes the hit.

I, I have printed some TPU in the past for, like, stuff that need...

TPU is kinda rubbery and squishy, um, so stuff that needs a little stretch to it.

I printed some stuff, um, for, um, mainly, like, you know, AirTag holders for kids' bracelets for when we go to Disney or whatever, you know, like that type of stuff.

Um, but I ordered some, um, PETG the, last week, um, because I needed something that had a little bit more...

The result is a material that bends, flexes under immense pressure, and actively recovers its shape without snapping.

If your printer can handle it, you could also use TPU, which is thermoplastic polyurethane.

And what's that one like?

TPU is literally a flexible rubber-like filament.

It will bend around any pipe corner without batting an eye.

So the first step to avoiding a plumbing disaster is choosing the right chemical polymer.
