Nancy GraceHOST
22:43
What can you tell me about that, Dave Mack?
Dave MackCORRESPONDENT
22:45
Nancy, the heat-seeking thermal imaging that's being used to search the soulmate in the hooker disappearance, it really is an important piece of equipment because it's, first of all, very, very expensive.
Dave MackCORRESPONDENT
23:01
And it was not being used, apparently.
Dave MackCORRESPONDENT
23:06
The FLIR system, not being used.
Dave MackCORRESPONDENT
23:09
when looking for Lynette Hooker.
Dave MackCORRESPONDENT
23:14
The Soulmate has this forward-looking infrared, the FLIR thermal imaging system.
Dave MackCORRESPONDENT
23:20
This is capable of detecting heat signatures in the darkness.
Dave MackCORRESPONDENT
23:25
And yet, apparently, Ryan Hooker didn't use it and didn't plan on using it the night Lynette disappeared.
Kirk HarnackHOST
53:33
We've only got one segment left to talk here, probably about seven or eight minutes.
Kirk HarnackHOST
53:38
Thermal imaging is really interesting to me, and you've got some ideas.
Kirk HarnackHOST
53:44
We all know about flying a drone or taking a picture with a thermal imager of your rigid line or your coax to see where is there a heat problem there, or maybe your switch panel, your breaker panel.
Kirk HarnackHOST
53:56
But you've got even more ideas on how – to effectively use a thermal imaging camera at your broadcast facility.
Kirk HarnackHOST
54:03
Why don't you talk about those for a minute?
Bill EatonGUEST
54:07
Well, I've been training chat with its amazing ability to read pictures.
Bill EatonGUEST
54:21
You get some stuff in the background.
Bill EatonGUEST
54:24
That's for actual equipment, whatever.
Ryan StevaHOST
2:58
I was actually thinking about this because I've done a few, you know, basically had people send me product to review and test out.
Ryan StevaHOST
3:07
And I was thinking about reaching out to a thermal imaging camera company because it's like, I could make an entire show out of how to use a thermal camera on a homestead, how to spot problems with your solar panels, how to find leaky, drafty areas in your house or poor insulation.
Ryan StevaHOST
3:29
Like you said, how to find a breaker that's going bad or that's got too much load on it or whatever.
Ryan StevaHOST
3:37
how to find wet spots.

40 MINS LATER

Jared WilsonHOST
43:34
Uh, Infatech's got some really small ones too.
Jared WilsonHOST
43:36
Like you can put it on a pistol, like a thermal on a pistol.
Ryan StevaHOST
43:41
Well, and you can even get thermal imaging cameras now.
Ryan StevaHOST
43:43
They're not super high res, but they'll, you
James DennisHOST
1:08
Before, obviously, we get going into the world this month.
James DennisHOST
1:11
of thermal imaging.
James DennisHOST
1:13
If you'd like to introduce yourself once again, Tony, who are you, where do you come from, and what makes you you?
Tony NevinGUEST
1:18
Right, well, I'm Tony Nevin.

6 MINS LATER

James DennisHOST
7:36
We've gone through elephants.
James DennisHOST
7:37
We're now going to go into more technology, I guess is the better way of phrasing this.
James DennisHOST
7:42
And in particular... thermal imaging now once again i've asked the same question for the last two slight different angle with this one but tell the listeners you know what is it and what is there to love about thermal imaging what makes it so cool
Tony NevinGUEST
7:58
great well thermal imaging reads the radiated heat of anything whether it be a structure building but when it's a living patient it's you're reading the heat coming off that individual.
