But it was just...

i know it wasn't for me wasn't for me if someone's out there who's read it and found some sort of depth in it they they really liked it please let me know in the discord because i would love to know what so like what like what part of that story um got somebody because it just it just wasn't for me and i kind of slogged my way through those last 30 for sure um so it is what it is uh okay so i read what it is it is what it is it is what it is um so i read there was just like a lot of talk going on about it in our discord so i was like i know it's short so i was like i need to get me off of my reading slump and so i read there is no anti-memetics division and i think i'm pretty sure that i've read yeah well i think that i've read at least half of it or like i like picked it up and like messed with it you did have a

couple of
C

yeah there was a couple of years which is funny and someone i think ben even maybe in our discord like made a joke about my memory they're like he's like you don't remember reading it that is kind of the point of the anti-memetics decision because a meme is an idea right and an anti-meme is a harmful idea um and memetics like obviously the root word there is like the memory right i don't know that's root word but i'm sure they're correlated um and so man i really liked it it was It was a lot.
C

So they're they're kind of go undetected by the rest of society because by their very nature, it's hard to see or remember something that proper that's properties make you forget it as soon as you look at it in a different direction.
C

um so the first like 20 is just like really interesting and then we start the story kind of and you're kind of bouncing all over the place between like different characters and different times even and different anti-memes and their containment protocols scp stands for security containment protocols i'm pretty sure that's what they call these like entity these anti-memes or scp dash and a number um and then the story like coheses like 30 or 40 percent of the way into it you're like oh this is what we're doing we're here for it we kind of um we learn about the main bad guy of the book and i don't explain how it works so i really want to because it's just super super interesting um but it's like part of the story and i don't want to like the book should be experienced as it's written and in the order that it's written so because because you kind of some of these ideas get kind of complicated especially when we're like talking about removing memory and stuff so the book does a pretty good job of like easing you in to this whole idea and then like developing some other anti meme um creatures that we have to deal with and how they get dealt with um and then it develops into like here but here's the main creature that we're that we're trying to fight Because the book, this whole story revolves around basically like a secret division of our government that handles the anti-memes, thus the story, thus the title.

There is no anti-memetics division because everybody keeps forgetting.

At one point, even like the main, like the head person of... one of these anti-memetics divisions is like hauled into a different government agency and it's kind of like put up against the ropes where they're like you have like a crazy security clearance and we don't even know who you are and she's like we've had this conversation like five times before you do know who i am but because of the nature of my work you've forgotten about our department so everybody keeps forgetting about the anti-memetics department division Really enjoyed it.
