I didn't use that version, but this is the Zombies version.

I'll give you some examples.

There's stuff you're going to hear, certainly from The Who, The Beatles, The Kinks, The Zombies.

You're also going to hear The Beach Boys, Mamas and Papas, Nilsson, Glen Campbell, CCR.

I mean, there's a variety of different things that we're playing, but again, there's hits.

No, this is just a convention center.

All right, well, my next pick here, I'm going to go back to 1968. to a band called The Zombies and their album Odyssey and Oracle.

And that's Odyssey spelled O-D-E-S-S-E-Y, folks.

So sorry, Homer.

Like I think it was the 40th anniversary tour that all the surviving members came together and played the album in its entirety for the first time together.

And what's also pretty crazy is that when Time of the Season eventually became a hit, the band's broken up, so this promotions company created fake versions of the zombies to go out on tour.

And one of those fake zombies had Dusty Hill and Frank Beard of ZZ Top in it.

Unless he's lost it since I last saw him, which I think is highly unlikely, having heard recordings of his right up to the present day.

That was indeed the Zombies, the band he was lead singer from in those great 1960s.

Wonderful B-side there.

The A side was Is This the Dream? I think I like the B side even better, called Don't Go Away.

Rod Argent also wrote quite a few zombie songs, and the two of them collaborated on a few other ones.

Chris White is often my go-to when it comes to the zombies, and I made a point of telling him that the one time I met him.

This was put out on USA Records in 1967.

And we ended with Zombies doing She's Not There, put out on Parrot in 1964.

We are going to jump across the emotional spectrum now and get into some uplifting Northern Soul, starting off with another act whose name you will recognize if I told you, but you might not suspect they have this Northern Soul track.
