The Witches

I think this is the best part of the story, is the double bluff, is being like, oh, she's an evil kid, and then she's like, no, no, no, she's just, these people treated her so badly that she's gone bad.

Like I said about my favourite part of The Witches is when they've turned into the bad guy because of it, except this one has completely subverted it twice.

Yeah, but I just think without them going to find this out during this part, I don't think then the rest of the film can be good or be seen as good.

The twist isn't as good without the middle.

I don't know if he's just having trouble settling on a idea.

Oh, I mean, he did produce Robert Zemeckis' The Witches in 2020.

2020.Well, but he probably didn't produce it.

He probably was attached to that as a project and then decided not to do it.

I was terrified of witches as a child.

I saw the movie The Witches by Roald Dahl and it shook me to my core.

And I was therefore terrified of old women.

I don't know if you've seen that movie, but they disguise themselves as old women.

So like an old woman crossing the street and I was ice, you know, inside, just terrified.

And now I think of myself as a witch.

I am about to go on a journey with Taylor to a trail that's literally called the Witches Trail and walk through like a magical medieval forest where apparently there were witches, you know? And so it's just been a cool example.

And I think it applies to this of like, all of that was ideas, ideas that were put into my head.

It made in three days.

$60 million, which is pretty great, putting it in the weekend box office number one spot over the movie with The Witches, which is Practical Magic 2, which made only $12 million by comparison last weekend.

Now Spider-Man is starting to slow down after its $2 billion and some dollars in third place, making $6.5 million last weekend.

The Odyssey, for some reason, clings on.

Yeah.

And then another one that I watched was also the 1990 The Witches.

which was a recommendation from my girlfriend Aurora.

She wanted me to look into some more like kids horror films, and The Witches was one of her recommendations.

Now again, I've seen and I do love this movie, so I'm in for this one.

So basically the premise of this one is a young boy's grandmother tells him a story about witches and how they exist, and he's like, oh, it's just a fable.

Then they go on a vacation to some hotel, and sure enough, they stumble along a witches convention.

And basically the witches are beautiful women, but what they do when they get into this convention is they all take off their wigs and take their shoes off.
