The Warfield

saw Dillinger play, they opened for the Deftones at the Warfield.

Oh, wow.

Like, what year is this? It was after I did Gabba.

He called me at KMBR one day, and he goes, yeah, hi, you don't know me, but I work for Phil Lesch.

I want you to come and be a guest at the show at the Warfield tonight.

He goes, well, hang out.

I'll put you on the stage.

It's not like one of these ones these days where you get these guys over and over in the studio, you know, like the first one I remember.

The first one I remember was Hagar's show on Aaronson and Shreve at the Warfield.

And we were told it has overdubs.

This is how this album was recorded.

And oh, a bit of old slash new business.

We will not have a live show next The station is moving its studio from Burton High School to downtown the Warfield building.

So that's a big deal.

We have a brand new studio and that move is going to be taking place over a couple of days.

I was going to Chico at the time.

They played San Francisco for, I think, their first show, probably 80, and I saw them at the Warfield Theater.

What I remember most, apart from the fact I may have taken mushrooms, maybe, what I remember most was they had so much fog on stage.

You couldn't see them.

My next guest is a talented singer and songwriter from Nashville.

He'll be kicking off an American tour at the Warfield Theater in, uh, San Francisco on November 11th, performing a song from his current CD, Perfectly Good Guitar.

You can, again, drive for miles, uh, on Mission and, and where I, where I kind of hung out, the, the Warfield Theater, um, and see tent after tent, open air market after open air market over.

Same thing in Seattle, where I lived for 20 years.

Open air markets being sold, all the looted goods from break-ins of cars and homes, sadly, and, uh, right there on a playground of a school, an elementary school, because the governments don't care.
