Is that what turned you to supernatural and aliens? Because there's a theme there that's similar.

It's written and directed by Na Hong Jin.

I think most of us here would best know him for The Wailing, his previous work, but he's also known for The Yellow Sea, The Chaser.

I'm saying all these things before I get to the story because I think in some ways it's more important.

So the cinematography was done by Hong Kyung Pyo, who also did The Wailing, but did Parasite, Burning.

So some real arthouse slash blockbuster hits from South Korea that I think people will be familiar with.

And the music was done by a frequent Jordan Peele collaborator, Michael Ables.

So there are a few different things that are happening within the movie, but basically it's an action extravaganza.

Okay, I wanted to start this review first, kind of explaining why I was so excited and hyped for this movie to come out.

And speaking of the future, I know you said you have other upcoming projects you want to tell.

There was a 10-year gap between The Wailing and Hope.

Can we... hope to see another film from you sooner than 10 years?

Well, you should at least go back and watch The Wailing.

This is an interesting horror movie.

It's, you know, not only Jin and same cinematographer as well.

Yes, it's a new Korean sci-fi action thriller.

It debuted at this year's Cannes Film Festival, and it's from director Na Hong-jin, who has made several films, but I've only seen the one he did last, before this film, which was from 2016, called The Wailing, which was quite an epic horror movie, but... set in a small village, very dark, very kind of sad, but also had that great element of some Korean filmmakers where there's a mixture of tones.

There's sometimes moments that are quite humorous and funny, and then ones that are quite, you know, cruel and mean.

And this film, Hope, is three hours long.

It's directed by Na Hong-Jin.

He did a movie a couple of years ago called The Wailing, which was one of the scariest, most disturbing serial killer thrillers I've ever seen, with... which also sort of had tinges of monster movie elements to it.

In Hope, he does a couple of amazing things.

A, he shoots in broad daylight for almost the entire film.

And then I missed The Yellow Sea, so I didn't.
