And, you know, if he had stuck with a core writing team behind him, he might have had consistent albums, but it was... different team behind him every freaking album after about the first two albums.

Well, Bob Daisley wrote most of, or a good chunk, him and Jake wrote most of Bark at the Moon and Ultimate Sin.

That's why those sound like they do, because it's the same writing team.

And the big hit off of Ultimate Sin was from Phil Sussan.

Ozzy Osbourne, The Ultimate Sin.

Well, I loved that record when it came out.

Mm-hmm.

It's really important.

I mean, even within the context of an album, you know, one of the criticisms of certain albums is, I mean, a good example would be The Ultimate Sin that we did with Ozzy.

It was a great album, great songs.

Everything was fantastic.

I was the last guy into the band.

I was the new guy.

When I came in, all of the songs to The Ultimate Sin had been written and we had been rehearsing them.

Of course, Bob Daisley had pretty much written all of that stuff.

I liked Jake when he was with Ozzy.

I think The Ultimate Sin is a great album.

I've got an interview with him somewhere down in my basement recently.

where he talks about how guitarists who play with pedals are ridiculous, because if you use this effect, then you just should have come up with something more interesting.

I looked over at Sharon when we got off the stage and she sort of gave me a thumbs up and I was like, okay, I guess that's all good.

Of course, you had gone and record The Ultimate Sin.

How did that kind of process of making that record come about? Can you recall that?

do well yeah we went into uh the songs have been pretty much written uh i've been um when i got the audition we started running through the songs and playing them over and over again and working out exactly what parts we were doing honestly i mean a lot of that stuff i have the original demos a lot of that stuff was written by bob daisley he's a great bass player he's one of my favorite bass players And all I was really doing was kind of channeling pretty much what he was doing on there, trying to sort of, you know, because that's the way those songs have been written.

And absolutely with Vince, you know, I had an awful lot of songs.

I brought seven songs in, I think.

And some of the songs were actually originated from, songs that I had been working on, that would have been the next album after the ultimate sin, because I'd started writing a lot of stuff back then.

And so I brought some of those songs to Vince.

Coming up now, Ozzy Osbourne with a track called A Shot In The Dark.

Of course, this is or was taken from the album The Ultimate Sin.

I can hear them, I can hear them, vanishing memories of things I've Let's go.

I can hear the rest of the reasons.

[laughs] I should've said this at the beginning, but we were talking about Ozzy's, um...

We did an Ozzy episode, and we talked about The Ultimate Sin, and Craig, just, [laughs] you, I dunno if you remember, you just spouted out that the song Secret Loser by Ozzy appeared in some random Charlie Sheen movie called-

Uh, this is the album's version of it, Killer of Giants, and I think it was a mistake by the record company to not release this as a single-
