So back to body horror.

Just brutal.

Uh, I did have The Ugly Stepsister as one of the recent ones.

I really like the British or the Grimm, like the Grimm's tale depiction of Cinderella, like the original way that it should have been told, not the, you know, Disney way that it's been done or whatever.

But I really like the influence of that.

I knew that, what th- to expect with this movie, and I still bawled.

But then, because of scheduling, we had to leave that movie 20 minutes early, and I was already crying, so that way I can get to Ugly Stepsister.

Uh, which, what a ch- [laughs] what a-

I mean, I really love, we had a great, you know, last year was a great year for women in horror.

I mean, between Coralie Fargeet with The Substance and, oh, I forget the director's name, but like The Ugly Stepsister.

And even, you know, Autumn, you know, DPing sinners.

Like, it was a great year for women in horror last year.

Uh, the only reason he's in Satan slaves, cause the person who was going to be that role, uh, no showed that day.

So, um, yeah, from one modern day masterpiece to another, why don't we, uh, go straight into uh talking about the no no from the beauty of the world of joko anwar let's get into the ugliness of being a stepsister ladies and gentlemen let's talk about the ugly stepsister Call me dumb But I didn't realize this was gonna be a Cinderella story

And so, yeah, I miss out on the perk of that is I don't have any trouble letting the film tell me what the story is or what I should think about.

I let the film kind of guide me, but I also don't know what the fuck is coming sometimes.

And this is one where by the time I heard about Ugly Stepsister, it had already been out of theaters and I missed it.

And I was like, oh, fuck.

... once again, um, another film that's done the rounds on the, uh, the train, The Ugly Stepsister.
