The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2

Okay, so 2012.

So this was not the only vampire movie this year because the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 actually came out the same year.

So the final Twilight film came out in November of the same year.

So that's about the era that we're looking at.

A couple things that happened between episodes.

33rd Golden Raspberry Awards, The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 wins.

55th Daytona 500, friend of the show Jimmy Johnson wins second great American race.

I'm kidding, it's not that Jimmy Johnson.

i'd recommend just dropping it here pack up your vhs your dvd your blu-ray put in the towel sell your tv don't

even watch this shit But again, we've talked between ourselves where apparently Breaking Dawn Part 2 is the best of all of them.

Apparently.

That's what people say.

time.

So thank you guys so much for joining us here.

So yeah, next time we will be watching Breaking Dawn Part 2.

The thrilling conclusion to this.

Not one of them is fresh on the Rotten Tomatoes scale.

Breaking Dawn 2 comes closest, and it's only at 49%.

Yet audiences drank in this shit every single year from 2008 to 2012.

The 2008 original ended up 7th in the box, then New Moon the following year was even bigger, ending up 4th, even outdoing Pixar's Up.

Then Eclipse, the third movie.

And finish it off with Breaking Dawn Part 2, the fifth and final movie.

and i don't know why we're starting with new moon but that's where you start and then you go on to breaking dawn part one because a massive spoiler alert in case you haven't read the books or seen the films but at the end of um breaking dawn part one bella gets turned into a vampire or the transition of her turning into a vampire is like starting to happen and And it's like a pretty iconic thing, like the last shot of the film of Breaking Dawn Part 1 is her eyes opening and being like that blood red colour.

And so then it's like after you finish watching Breaking Dawn Part 1, then you watch Twilight because that's sort of like the flashback of Bella's human life while she's in the transition into turning into a vampire.

And then you watch Eclipse.

And then that makes sense because the Volturi is very heavily involved in the Eclipse film.

And then that sort of makes sense for Breaking Dawn Part 2.

I don't know.

I don't know if you remember, but when they did Twilight, they broke up the last book into two movies.

They did Breaking Dawn 1 and Breaking Dawn 2.

I feel like that's what they need to – I guess this is going to be a show, though.

Yeah.

Then I

might go Breaking Dawn Part 1, then Breaking Dawn Part 2, then Twilight, then Eclipse, I think,

for me.

Ooh.

[laughs]

Breaking Dawn Part 2 is an hour and 55 minutes, and Breaking Dawn Part 1 is an hour and 57 minutes.

That's the most-

The shortest, yeah

And then it's almost like Bella's life as a human is wrapping up.

Then you watch Breaking Dawn Part Two, because then we're back to present day.

Bella is transformed, human life is done.

Um, we see Bella in her new life navigating everything that's going on.
