The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

During recording for this album, fearing that some of the members may not work well together, especially with this relationship issue having ended between Frazier and Guthrie, each member had attempted to avoid the others during the recording sessions and tried to do a lot of the work independently.

The band made their debut appearance on television in the US with a performance of Bluebeard on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 1993.

Bluebeard was one of the two singles from the album, with Evangeline being the other one, which came out prior to the album.

Evangeline continued the band's move to more accessible melodic and lyrical ground without sacrificing their trademark ethereal sound.

And yeah, I think I think like, again, people when they think of their shows, they will think of what those situations were.

Like, for example, popular voting existed during the Conan Jay Leno Tonight Show thing.

Conan would have won that thing in a landslide.

So, yeah.

And it's the name of the show.

And then like The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The Tonight Show with Jack Parr, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Unfortunate Choice, it's the other side of midnight with Walter Sterling.

At any moment, forces could sweep through here and there'd be someone else on the other side of midnight and it would go along just fine.

And, um, you know, I, I sang on his, uh, his 25th anniversary, you know, record, TIME, which is also a crazy story.

Um, but, uh, I've-- Like I say, I've done, you know, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Today Show in New York with him, and just, uh, he's come to my fan club parties.

And I mean, it was just like, we've done so many things together, and he's been so gracious over the years.

And, um, he actually sang on my Country State of Mind record, uh, on my version of Forever and Ever, Amen.

I can't remember the exact figures off the top of my head.

Been a while since I've looked into this, but if I remember correctly, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, it was generating around three hundred million dollars a year in ad revenue.

Let's just say it was two hundred million.

That means NBC was making a hundred million dollars every year minimum off The Tonight Show alone.

Of course, we saw Hulk Hogan recently on Regis and Kathie Lee.
