The Three Investigators

And I really think that took me to writing as well, that kind of, the idea of following clues and, you know, l- like when you're writing, you're sometimes putting clues in, in early chapters to be figured out later.

Um, I loved the Hardy Boys, The Three Investigators.

Nancy Drew was incredible.

I suppose 'cause she's a teenage girl.

Um, Louis L'Amour, I got into, I got into 'cause Louis L'Amour was my dad's favorite author.

Um, I got into, um, a, a couple different book series, "The Three Investigators." I love, I love that book series, and that was an old A-Alfred Hitchcock series from, uh, I think the '60s and '70s.

We were poor, and a lot of, uh, what, what I was able to get my hands on, uh, came from garage sales and things like that.

And so I would get books from here and there and, and read 'em and, and, uh, I remember one of my favorite books was a, you know, a science book that just had, you know, crazy facts, you know, like a Ripley's Believe It or Not type book.
