The Teddy Bears

Which, yeah, again, another statement that ages me horrendously.

And of course, I really like the punk rocker by the Teddy Bears.

Yes, Superman.

yeah yeah like you know it was one of those things where that playing at the end of that movie like i'd already cried twice during the movie and you know once again at the end of it all with all that it's like yeah yeah damn damn it ignatius pop you've got me but yeah i've never been a a massive iggy pop person

Yeah.

And Paul also cited the Teddy Bears 1958 hit To Know Him Is To Love Him.

Phil Spector.

Yeah.

So now there's a nice connection to the next track to this date.

So the Teddy Bears released the original To Know Him Is To Love Him on September the 28th in 1958.

Now, Amy Winehouse recorded her version in 2006, and I think it's one of those covers where the singer really makes the song her own.

It's just a beautiful, beautiful cover.

And we're back here on Phoenix FM D15 today.

That was an amazing, beautiful version of To Know Him Is To Love Him by Amy Winehouse.

And I was just reminiscing there that the original by the Teddy Bears would have been produced.

And John reminded me that it was Phil Spector's kind of a debut, I suppose.
