The Taxpayers

Um, I think it was when I started playing, doing the acoustic thing more, I got really into folk punk and that whole scene.

Um, so most recently it's been a lot of like bands like, uh, Defiance, Ohio, and Pat the Bunny, all his different projects, uh, the Taxpayers, uh, Apes of the State.

Um, and then also Against Me and Laura Jane Grace, which was, um, a band that I actually never got into, was aware of for 20 years and kind of were always on the list of bands I should check out and, uh, sort of dive into their catalog.

Um, but people started telling me that they could hear the Against Me influence in my music, which I always, always found really funny because I didn't listen to them at all.
