The Sunlit Man

Yeah, it is late.

Our conversations will be centered around these specific chapters, but in the context of all of Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere series, Stormlight, Mistborn, Warbreaker, Elantris, Whitesand, Arcane, Unbounded, Tress of the Emerald Sea, Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, and The Sunlit Man.

Oh, and Isles of the Amber Dark.

So if you are caught up, stick around.

And don't forget to sprinkle in the secret projects.

Books like Yumi and the Nightmare Painter or The Sunlit Man act as wonderful narrative palate cleansers that, while feeling light and experimental in their prose, are secretly essential load-bearing parts of the wider universe lore.

And we also have to give some honorable mentions before we wrap up, because there are books left off this top 10 list, books like Elantris, his debut novel, or The Well of Ascension, or Shadows of Self, and they are by no means failures.

Not at all.

Okay.

Up to Sunlit Man.

I don't

know if that's four or five.

Our conversations will be centered around these two little short stories.

But in the context of all Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere series, Stormlight Mistborn, Warbreaker, Elantris, White Sand, Arcane Unbounded, Trest of the Emerald Sea, Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, The Sunlit Man, and Isles of the Umberdark.

A couple, a couple quick fire ones that I, that I found.

I was looking at Sunlit Man reviews-

Okay

... and found one that said this: "I could not care less." Two stars.

I mean, a separate song that we can put you me anywhere.

Sunlit man, we're gonna have to do after.

Cause that's really past everything.

That's I think in the timeline, something that man's like the most futuristic so far.

And I might be wrong, but it's out there.

Anyway, I think originally I had Sunlit because I put that order together before even Wind and Truth came out.

And Brandon Sanderson said to read Sunlit Man before Wind and Truth, but after reading Wind and Truth, I disagree with Brandon Sanderson.

So...

Yeah, yeah.

Oh, and Sunlit Man, which I have on my TBR.

But, yeah, it's just kind of like the only series left is Mistborn Era 2, and then it's a couple of standalones and short stories, and then I'm good to go.

Okay, cool, great.

Mm-hmm.

But yeah, the torment of holding the Dawn Shard on Wit's soul is the primary reason why he cannot fight.

Something that we learn in Sunlit Man can be siphoned away using the Sun Hearts.

Very cool.
