The biggest political headers are showing up on the campaign trail in battleground states this weekend as both sides of the aisle battle for control of Congress.

We're saying there's things that we need to fix and the economy is strong and we've got the data to prove it.

All right.

Kevin Hassett, thank you very much for joining us on the Sunday briefing.

Always great to talk to you, sir.

So, Pope Leo is recovering after having lung cancer surgery, leaving the hospital on Saturday, four days after undergoing the surgery.

His brother, Louis, was on Fox's The Sunday Briefing to give an update on his brother's health.

When we heard the news, of course, it was panic city.

And I thought, oh, I'd like to go over there, but I'm stuck here.

I'm Peter Ducey in Washington.

As city, state, and federal officials representing New York call for more transparency about the ICE-involved shooting in the Bronx last week, the Trump administration's border czar Tom Homan said on Fox's The Sunday Briefing, New York could have allowed this to be handled differently.

The best way it could've been handled, if they get rid of their sanctuary policies and let ICE agents in their jails.

Homan, who led ICE during President Trump's first term, added he expects body cam footage of the incident to be released once any investigations, criminal or otherwise, into the matter are finished.

I'm Peter Doocy in Washington.

This is the Sunday Briefing.

We are watching a Coast Guard press conference this hour as search efforts are underway for a missing medevac jet that was headed from Bermuda to Boston.

Six people were aboard when air traffic control lost contact with the aircraft.

Hopefully next few weeks and we get closer to the election, maybe I have a couple more

hours to watch baseball.

And something I'm noticing now, a first for the Sunday briefing.

Is that a gold glove over your shoulder in the shot?
