I'm Nick Coffer, and coming up today, two artists whose voices have been part of the soundtrack of British music for more than half a century.

Hugh Cornwell was the voice, guitarist, and principal songwriter of The Stranglers, one of the most distinctive bands to emerge from the punk era.

I couldn't see the wood for the trees, I think the expression is.

It was so obvious that I didn't see it.

We've played there.

And I like playing at the Stables in Wavenden.
