The Simpsons Ride

I loved that.

And, like, you know, The Simpsons ride too, 'cause I was a big Simpsons fan when I was a kid, so riding that was a blast too.

Oh, I love it.

Yeah, ET, it, it's such a, you know, it's, it's like back when, uh, Disney over at Epcot had Captain EO for, for a few, for a few minutes there.

They could bring the show back at any day.

Men in Black, Alien Attack, The Simpsons Ride in Springfield, Curious George Goes to Town.

Oh, Barney.

A Day in the Park with Barney.

Uh, what Cosm does is it takes the original film, shows it in its entirety and its original 16 nine format, but then creates new content, um, to extend the image all the way around the dome without altering the original.

And instead of doing it through AI, they've got Real FX, who worked on The Simpsons Ride and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem.

They use CGI in cooperation with the original DreamWorks animators to extend the image.

I have not seen one of these.

Yes.

It's there as The Simpsons ride, but it's not Back to the Future.

So, so, um-

It'll never be Back to the Future

I'm looking at you, Mission Space, orange side.

I was going to say, is there any attraction that you went into, not sure whether it was going to cause motion sickness, and then you came out of the video? Yes, Simpsons.

Really?

Yeah, I'd been on Back to the Future.

It was fine.

Went on Simpsons, going, I'll be fine.

And I literally, if that ride had maybe gone on 10 seconds more, they would be having to clean that car.

Wow.

Like, this is like the third time I've seen him talk about it in public.

I think he has probably been saying almost the entire time he's worked there, or at least since The Simpsons Ride opened, "Why are we not doing Treehouse of Horror at Halloween Horror Nights? This is insane.

How has it been almost 20 years and we've never done any Treehouse of Horror stuff there?" I'm hopeful that next year there will be a big thing there.

Also, my husband and I are park people.

We like the theme parks.

And this also led us to think that I no longer accept as a given that The Simpsons Ride is gonna close in the next couple years, because this expansion of the stuff tells me that Universal isn't gonna close it that soon, because Disney also has announced, like, their next, like, five to 10 years of park things, and there's no space to do a Simpsons thing new in their parks anyway.

So my feeling is that I think they realized at Disney theme parks, they aren't gonna do a Simpsons thing anytime soon, so let's just let Universal have five more years of The Simpsons Ride, maybe even more.

That's my new theory, my new theory.
