The Sickie

Now, as you know, we are on the run-up to the Underground Cinema Film Awards, our 17th year, um, and it's just around the corner in a month's time.

So as you know, what we're trying to do is we're trying to interview as many of the, the nominees as we possibly can before the big event.

So I'm delighted to say that I've got a great friend with me, uh, today, uh, and that's, uh, film director Jason Figgis.

You're very welcome, Jason.

I nearly looked behind me going, "Who, who's your great friend?"

We were only babies.

Absolutely.

Um, and yeah, I suppose back then, I, you know, my, my background at the, at the, the 17 years ago was theater, so, uh, I'd been involved with film but not on the scale that I am now.
